SIG Field Work

This special interest group is a discussion forum for all topics related to field work: from preparatory work such as finding the right community, communication with collaborators in the field or affiliated institutions, funding opportunities, ethical considerations, travel and health advice; choice of recording equipment; participant recruitment and payment; software tools; to decisions on annotation, glossing and archiving.

The SIG Field Work group can also be contacted at short notice when you're stuck in the field with a problem of any sorts!

Our group is closely connected to the SIG Data Structuring and SIG Description and Analysis of Linguistic Data. It meets on a monthly basis, or when needed.
