Transportation

You can find some information on getting around in Zurich here.

The conference venue is next to tram stop Kantonsschule, which is a 10-minute walk or a short tram ride away from station Stadelhofen. Day passes for trams, busses and trains within the city (zone 110) cost CHF 8.80 and are available at ZVV ticket machines.

Accommodation

The conference venue is located at University of Zurich's city campus and there are many hotels and AirBnBs close by. (Cheaper) accommodation further away from the city center can easily be reached by Zurich's dense urban public transport network. Hotels, hostels etc. can be found on the Zürich Tourism website.

Things to do (before or after the workshop)

Zurich's got tons of sights and places to go: e.g., exploring the medieval old town or the hip western parts of Zurich, going up to Zurich's Hausberg (Üetliberg) or taking a boat on the lake to Rapperswil.

X-PPL dinner

On November 4, we will have a workshop dinner at Tibits Bistro Zurich (Falkenstrasse 12), a vegetarian restaurant close to Sechseläutenplatz, the Opera House and Lake Zurich. The dinner is not included in the workshop registration fee. There are two Tibits locations very close to each other. The dinner will be in the larger of the two, the Tibits that is behind the opera house and across the Neue Zürcher Zeitung (and not the Tibits opposite the Credit Suisse ATMs).
