Postdoctoral Researcher in Indo-European Studies
The Institute for the Interdisciplinary Study of Language Evolution (University of Zurich) invites applications for a postdoctoral position in Indo-European Studies, preferably with a focus on the Anatolian and/or Indo-Iranian branches of Indo-European.
Your responsibilities
This is a 70%-80% FTE position, which includes 20% teaching. This position offers a training opportunity, and the successful candidate is expected to dedicate the remaining unpaid 20% to personal skill development and further training.
Your profile
We are looking for a candidate with a solid background in comparative historical linguistics and philology with good computational skills. Familiarity with comparative phylogenetic methods is an asset; however, training can be provided at the start of the position if necessary.
The Institute places great emphasis on teamwork and multidisciplinary perspectives. Excellent communication and teamwork skills are essential. Good oral and written communication in English is required.
