I am a PhD student in the Anthropological Linguistics group led by John Mansfield, working on the SNFS project Transmission of Conceptual Structure in Cultural Areas. I have a background in social anthropology and descriptive linguistics, with extensive fieldwork experience on South American languages, including Arawan and Yanomamic. My main research interests include verbal arts, formal aspects of storytelling, as well as lexical and grammatical semantics, with a particular focus on how different languages conceptualize knowledge, communication, perception, and emotion.
