I am broadly interested in language, cognition, and formal systems, with experience in both theoretical and clinical research domains. My work in linguistics has investigated agreement phenomena, long-distance dependencies, syntactic change, and language processing. I use formal and experimental methods to investigate representations and mechanisms in the production and comprehension of language. I am currently investigating hierarchical structure planning in language production with a focus on the neural computations underlying this process. I have a secondary interest in numerical/mathematical cognition, particularly its intersections with language.
